感恩节 (Gǎn'ēn jié) Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day
感恩节 (Gǎn'ēn jié) in the United States and Canada is a time of family gatherings, holiday meals and offering thanks; it is a time of turkeys, stuffing and pumpkin pie; as well, it is a time for Indian corn, cranberry sauce and holiday parades with giant balloons. Thanksgiving is celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday of November, which this year (2011) happens to be November 24th. Like many other Western cultural things, this holiday is catching on in China -- gradually. Chinese re-interpret Thanksgiving to be a day for giving thanks to their parents, teachers, friends and other people. Who do you want to thank
most this year? How will you thank him/her?
