(每周英文閱讀時間) It's Fair?!

Todd was a teacher, and Jack was a farmer. One day, the two strangers took the same plane to New York and sat next to each other. It was a long ride, so they tried to do something interesting to kill the time. After talking for a while, they decided to ask each other riddles.
“Let’s make the rules first.” said Jack. “If you don’t know the answer to one, you pay me NT$1000, but if I don’t, I’ll pay you NT$500.”
Todd thought Jack was just a farmer, so he said “It sounds fair. Who will go first?”
“I will.” said Jack. “What has four legs while sleeping but only one leg while walking?”
Todd didn’t know the answer, so he gave Jack NT$1000, and then he asked, “What is the answer to it?”
“I don’t know, either.” said Jack and gave Todd NT$500.
